Now, an Update of Meego 1.2 is available to download for Nokia N9. According to the information spread out on the forum and sites, this update required about 284 MB and needs you 40 minutes of time for the download/upgrade, but the "well worth it" OS upgrade for Nokia's non-Windows flagship smartphone is available.
Like I said, according to Nokia the install will take about 40 minutes (it is a 248 MB upgrade) - the update include:
The ability to make video calls. The N9 had been unable to utilize the front-facing camera for video calls up to this point.
App Launcher
Camera Updates
The ability to copy/paste (!)
Gallery viewing updates
Developers received the upgrade for testing about 30 days ago, so we consider this launch right on schedule.
Nokia N9 is the latest phone of Nokia based on OS MeeGo functioned to make everything to be simple. Nokia N9 introduces an innovative new design where the home key is replaced by a simple gesture: a swipe. Nokia N9 seems to be the first handset with a non-painted body. No such thing as chipping off the paint anymore, the color of the phone is the color of the plastic it's made of. And even if you do manage to scratch it, you won’t see another color underneath.
Nokia N9 Elegant Design
Unfortunately there aren't many apps available yet in Nokia Store but Nokia covers the essential bases here, twitter, facebook, foursquare and skype. Also the device comes with few preloaded games, Need for Speed, Angry Birds, Galaxy on Fire 2 and RealGolf 2011.
