How to Root Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus GT-S7500 using DooMLoRD’s Easy Rooting Toolkit


Indeed, there is something need to do before enjoying the advantage of having Android devices. We should root our device first because there is something need to change on the system to make it able to run any program. However, Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus is another mid-range Android device which is an upgraded version of Samsung Galaxy Ace. This time it has 1 GHz processor and 512 Mb RAM. As usual, the stock Android Gingerbread v2.3. ROM on Galaxy Ace plus S7500 is un-rooted and therefore doesn’t allow you to perform various tasks like overclocking the processor,installing a custom ROM etc as these tasks requires root access.

So we’ve written a very easy and effective tutorial to root your Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500. All you’ve to do is to follow every step carefully otherwise you may brick your Android device. There are many advantage of Rooting your device, such as you’ll be able to install an advance clockwork recovery mode (CWM), you’ll be able to install custom firmware which provides lot of more functions and significantly improve the performance of your phone, you’ll also be able to overclock your processor, you’ll be able to use all the applications that requires a rooted phone like “Screenshot it”.

What you need to prepare:
  • A Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus GT-S7500 and a PC
  • Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data. Guide from here
  • Make sure your device has at least 75% of phone battery charge.


Steps to root Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus GT-S7500:
  • Download and install KIES2.0 on your Windows PC; it will install all the required drivers
  • Download Odin3, Rooting Package (root.tar), and DooMLoRD’s Easy Rooting Toolkit.
  • Enable USB Debugging in your Samsung Ace PLUS. For that go to:
  • Settings > Application > Development” and check out USB Debugging option.
  • Thereafter, connect your phone to PC/laptop viaUSBCable and copy Root.tar that you downloaded above to the root of your SD Card through data cable.
  • Now switch off your Android device and again switch it on in recovery mode.To get into recovery mode ,  hold the both volume buttons and the home button and the lightly touch the power button until it switches on.
  • After successfully entering into recovery mode, use volume keys for navigation and home key to confirm.
  • So, using volume keys navigate to “apply update from SD card” and choose “root.tar” that you copied in step 2 above. (Use home key to confirm)
  • Wait until it says, “Successfully installed the file”.  This will confirm that you’ve successfully install root.tar. Now reboot the device.
  • Finally root your Samsung Galaxy Ace PLUS using  DooMLoRD’s Easy Rooting Toolkit.

How to Upgrade Samsung Galaxy S II and S III to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Using Custom ROM



For the owners of Samsung Galaxy SII and Galaxy S III, they are indeed familar in using the operating system of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Currently, there is no update available yet officially for the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Thanks to xda-forum members who always try so hard to develop the system into the better choice to put into the one that is not provided with the update.

For those who want to taste the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on their Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy S III, on this article i will show you the steps to upgrade the system using the Custom ROM made by the members of xda-forum. However, this custom ROM is still buggy and there is many thing that does not work so far and waiting to be developed further.

Preparation you need to do before upgrading:


Steps to upgrade:

  • Using CWM, make sure to wipe data/factory reset, then wipe cache, and then go into advanced, and wipe the Dalvik cache too.
  • From there, flash the ROM (JellyBeanAlpha.zip).
  • Afterwards, repeat the wipe step (step #1).
  • Continuing on, go into advanced and fix permissions.
  • After fixing the permissions, go back and flash the kernel (zIMAGE-JB.zip) — this will fix the mobile data connection. Then flash CWM-SU-v0.89_fixSU.zip, it will get SuperUser working on the ROM.
  • Finally, reboot the device.
Congratulations, now you have been upgraded your Samsung Galaxy S II or Galaxy S III into the latest version of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, enjoy the features and performance. Let us know your development.

How to Upgrade Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 to Android 4.0.4 Using AOKP ROM Build 38



Indeed, most Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 want to taste the latest Android operating system Ice Cream Sandwich on their devices. Apparently, Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 itself was launched using the Operating System Android Gingerbread in which it is not the latest and seem not as beutiful as Ice Cream Sandwich. Unfortunately, Samsung itself has announced that there is no update available for the Galaxy Tab to Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

Thanks to forum-xda members who always develop the system of Android and provide the update of Ice Cream Sandwich for the Samsung Galaxy Tab. So, for those who want to try their devices to running on this latest Android, here is the tutorial to make your wish come true.

Using this ROM packs a stock Android experience with smooth and fast performance together with an inbuilt ROM Control Mod that allows for further customization. Do note that this ROM is still undergoing constant development, so it may still carry several bugs and issues. If you want to try this custom ROM because you are itching to have ICS on your tablet, you can do so just by following the requirements and instructions below.

Preparation before upgrading Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000:

  • A rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 with ClockworkMod Recovery installed. Guide to root from here
  • A Windows PC and 7-Zip, WinRAR, or any other program that can extract archive files.
  • Samsung KIES installed in your PC to have it automatically install the needed Samsung USB drivers.
  • Download AOKP ROM Build 38 Rebuild 1 package from here (aokp_p1_build-38 rebuild 1.zip, 126.75 MB) and Google Apps package from here (gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip, 49.6 MB)
  • You device battrey should at least 75% charged to avoid interruption during the process.
  • Backup all personal data on your phone to make sure you have a copy of your personal data (e.g., contacts, SMS, MMS, Internet settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and the like) in case the procedure in this guide erases such data. Guide to backup from here or here

Steps to upgrade Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 to Android 4.0.4 Using AOKP ROM Build 38 after you completed the preparation above, follow the steps below:

  • Copy the AOKP ROM Build 38 Rebuild 1 package and the GApps (Google Apps) package to the root of the tablet’s internal SD card.
  • Switch off your tablet and reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery. To do this, hold the Volume Up key and Power button together until the screen turns on, then you can release the buttons.
  • Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset, then choose Yes on the next screen.
  • Select Wipe Cache Partition and confirm the action on the next screen.
  • Go back to the main menu and select Advanced. From there, select Wipe Dalvik Cache and confirm the action on the next screen.
  • Select Install ZIP From SD Card. Select Choose ZIP From SD Card and locate the aokp_p1_build-38 rebuild 1.zip file. Confirm the action on the next screen to flash the ROM.
  • Go back to the main menu and install the GApps package in the same manner as in step 6. This will install apps like the Play Store, Gmail, etc.
  • When the installation is completely done, go back to the main menu then select Reboot System Now. This will reboot your tablet to the installed AOKP ROM. Booting for the first time may take up to 5 minutes.

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 Using Three Methods


For the users of Samsung Galaxy Tab who want to upgrade their devices, they should root the devices first ib order to make change of the system. Since its first inception, the devices already got positive reviews from the users around the world as well as negative reviews. 

Featured with good performance and features, Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 is indeed able to use in everyday need to work in every use, gaming or everything. Fortunately, there are many developers who develop the system and make many improvements for the system, including providing the upgrade for the latest Android ICS version, even the official do not provide that. Thanks to XDA-forum members who always try to make every Android devices look better and better.

However, you should know that rooting your device will void your warranty, and when something error you could never ask the warranty of  the device. So, in order to root your device, you must consider wether it is needed or not.

Requirements

Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 and one windows PC.
Samsung Kies installed on your PC. This is necessary as it will automatically install most Samsung USB drivers.
Enable USB debugging mode on your tablet. You can do this by heading to “Settings > Application > Development > USB Debugging.” Make sure that there is a check mark beside that option.

Here are the three methods of rooting Samsung Galaxy Tab GT-P1000, choose only one method :

1. SuperOneClick 2.3.3 Method

NOTE: This method has been reported to work on the Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 running Android 2.3 Gingerbread.  Some users on Android 2.2 Froyo have also reported success with using this method. You’ll need a Windows PC for this method.
  • Install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher if you’re using Windows XP from here.
  • Make sure you have the USB drivers for your tablet installed on your PC.  If you have Samsung KIES, you most likely have the drivers.  If not, download the USB drivers for your tablet from here (SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_Galaxy_Tab_GT-P1000_x86.exe) and install them to your PC.
  • On your tablet, go to Settings > Applications > Development and enable USB debugging.
  • Disable Samsung KIES (if it’s installed on your PC) and security suites (e.g., firewalls, antivirus).
  • Download SuperOneClick 2.3.3 from here (SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse.zip) and save it to your PC. 
  • Extract the contents of the ZIP file into a folder on your computer.
  • Connect your Galaxy Tab to your PC via USB cable. Make sure that you don’t mount your SD card.
  • Double-click SuperOneClick.exe to launch the program.
  • Select the Root button to start rooting your tablet.
  • Wait for a couple of minutes while the SuperOneClick application finishes rooting your tablet. It may take 5-10 minutes for it to successfully root your device.


2. DooMLoRD’s Easy Rooting Toolkit 4.0

NOTE: This method has been reported to work on the Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread.  You’ll need a Windows PC for this method.
  • Make sure you have the USB drivers for your tablet installed on your PC.  If you have Samsung KIES, you most likely have the drivers.  If not, download the USB drivers for your tablet from here (SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_Galaxy_Tab_GT-P1000_x86.exe) and install them to your PC.
  • On your tablet, go to Settings > Applications > Development and enable USB debugging.
  • Go to Settings > Applications and enable Unknown sources.
  • Download DooMLoRD’s Easy Rooting Toolkit 4.0 from here (DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su.zip, 1.8 MB) to your computer.
  • Extract the contents of the ZIP file into a folder on your computer.
  • Disable Samsung KIES (if it’s installed on your PC) and security suites (e.g., firewalls, antivirus).
  • Connect your tablet to your PC using a USB cable.
  • Find runme.bat among the extracted files.
  • Double-click on runme.bat.
  • Follow the instructions on the screen.
  • When the procedure finishes, the rooting tool will have rooted your device, installed BusyBox, installed the su binaries, and installed the Superuser app.


3. z4root Method

NOTE: This method has been reported to work on the Galaxy Tab GT-P1000 running Android 2.2 Froyo, although some users running Android 2.3 Gingerbread have also reported varying levels of success.
  • On your tablet, go to Settings > Applications and enable Unknown sources.
  • Download the z4root app to your tablet from here (z4root.1.3.0.apk, 955.5 kB).
  • Install the z4root app on your tablet. You’ll need a file manager app to be able to install the APK file.  Try ASTRO File Manager or ES File 
  • Explorer, both of which are available from the Google Play Store.
  • Launch the z4root app.
  • Tap the Permanent Root button.
  • After the app has finished rooting the tablet, it will also install su binaries and BusyBox.

Congratulations, you have rooted your device. Now, you will be able to upgrade and use any benefit of rooted device. Let, us know of your change made on your device.

What is so cool about this phone ?

There are several cool new usability features - most notably eye tracking and new voice commands. The eye tracking switches the display on and off, depending on whether the phone sees you looking at it (Samsung calls this Smart Stay). Samsung has also extended the voice command capabilities of the smartphone - the latest offering is called S Voice.

S Voice is obviously Samsung's answer to Siri. You activate it by saying "Hi Galaxy!". You can ask it about the weather, but you can also ask the phone to take a picture. Language support is its strongest weapon - besides English dialects, S Voice also understands Italian, German, French, Spanish and Korean.
The Galaxy S III also comes with a feature called Smart alert - when the phone detects that you have picked it up, it will vibrate if you have missed events.

The innovation doesn't stop here - Pop-up Play allows you to move the video player into a small floating window and continue watching while using another app.

Samsung Galaxy S III even though it is officially released on 29 May 2012 on Europe, but some carriers on England have already confirmed they'll carry the S III point to May 30 as a UK launch date. Even Samsung has stated that they would not announce their flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S3 to be released on the MWC 2012 on Barcelona few days later, but according to reliable sources Samsung Galaxy S3 has been known by public that it will be featured with 4.8" Inch screen and built in Ceramic over the body.

Samsung Galaxy S3 will be launched over 50 countries simultaneously with Super Amoled Plus HD. The body uses ceramic on the back instead of glossy plastic of the previous one.
